New Post!

Hey friends and family,
Many apologies for the lengthy delay. Speculations about our disappearance by my friends have ranged from "kidnapped by llamas at Machu Picchu" to "trampled by llamas at Machu Picchu" and so on. Thankfully, the llamas and alpacas we befriended on our journey were benevolent, and we have the pictures to show it.
The week long experience of Cuzco was definitely not the same for me as for my friends because I had a terrible stomach flu. While my amigos roamed the city streets most nights after tours, I crawled into bed at around 6 nightly. By the end, I was exploring alongside them (although eating much more infrequently and lightly than the rest, especially Manny "the trash compactor" Casteneda).
Everyones been getting sick now, but we're trying not to let the sickness damper our spirits. The San Bartolo kids have organized a Clean Beach Campaign for a contaminated beach on the south shore. We spent the night handing our flyers to passing kids and teenagers for the event tomorrow! Hopefully our hard work will prove to be a success.
As for the crew, most of us are trying to cut back on our eating, particularly on Sublime bars and DonaFria chocolates. Others, like Manny, are experimenting with how many meals they can fit between breakfast and dinner haha
More to come!
Peace from Kauhuhu
Michael
